Infrared Thermal Imaging

Infrared Thermography plays an important part in a Machinery Health Management program, as emerging faults are frequently accompanied by excessive heat or heat loss. Emerson’s thermal imagers integrate route-based thermographic data collection with vibration analysis, oil analysis, and other technologies for a complete evaluation of machinery health. Typical faults identified using thermographic imaging include:
  • Mechanical Defects – verify machinery wear causing friction-related heat
  • Electrical Systems – accurately diagnose anomalies in electrical systems
  • Insulation Damage - detect insulation damage in process applications as well as buildings and facilities
